The Bangladesh Ship Recycling Board (BSRB) is the central authority responsible for overseeing, regulating, and promoting the ship recycling industry in Bangladesh.

Supervise all ship recycling activities across the country.

Established on 25 February 2020, the Board operates under the Ministry of Industries with a 14-member structure, where the Secretary of the Ministry serves as the Chairman and the Additional Secretary (Ship Recycling, BIRA, BEKHA & BIM) acts as the Director General.

The ship recycling industry of Bangladesh plays a vital role in the country’s industrial growth, economic progress, and sustainable development. By providing raw materials for steel production, reducing dependency on imports, and creating extensive employment opportunities, this sector has become a cornerstone of the national economy.
